My Body Mass is a BMI Calculator available to download free on the Windows App Store. You can download and use this app on your Windows 8 PC, mobile phone or Microsoft Surface tablet. This BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator will determine the BMI for an adult and graphically illustrate the category that the BMI falls into (Underweight, Healthy Weight, Overweight, Obese). My Body Mass allows you to enter your height and weight in either metric or imperial measurements!

We are proud to announce that Digiplan, an app designed by Pupils' at Harrogate Ladies College is now live on the Apple App Store. We ran workshops at the College to work with Pupils' on their ideas to come up with a useful app that pupils and students around the world can use.

We have been working tirelessly all summer with the team at MoreLife to produce their new Members' Journey. The Members' Journey allows people to log in a track their progress and achieve their goals.

Slidebank.com is a Presentation Management Service for Companies with 'Thousands of PowerPoint® slides that nobody can find'. We worked closely with Slidebank.com staff to produce a sophisticated Web App, allowing users to manage presentation slides ‘on the go’ via mobile devices. This App is an iPad mobile front-end for Slidebank and has much of the advanced functionality provided by the regular desktop App. In addition, the iPad App has improved slide sorting for greater ease of use and to help ensure slide selections can be quickly re-purposed for any audience.

A Harrogate-based specialist software development company has created an
iPhone “app” which will benefit GCSE maths pupils with their studies. More than 50 Year 9 pupils at Settle College were set a challenge by McKenna Consultants to design a mobile application that was not only fun but had an educational function too. In response, 14-year-olds Sophie Thornton and Megan Dawson created “Settle Maths”- to help students practice for their Foundation and Higher GCSE Mathematics exams.

A leading Yorkshire mobile applications company is helping to shape young creative minds by developing innovative new software with a regional secondary school. Harrogate-based McKenna Consultants is working with more than 50 pupils from Settle High School to create an iPhone application that will be developed and placed on Apple’s App Store to be purchased around the world.

A Harrogate businessman helped save the life of a local woman on a charity trek in Peru by running 1,000 metres down the climb to enable her to take in more oxygen. Aaron McKenna, 24, has been hailed as a hero by Sarah Townsend, the woman he saved, after his and some of his fellow trekkers’ quick thinking and actions may have saved her life when she was suffering from extreme altitude sickness.
